Leo Lynch provided mechanical, electrical, HVAC and AC system scope and deployment at a key data centre for a leading international technology services firm. 

Data centre solution spanning mechanical, HVAC and AC for global technology firm. 

Leo Lynch was responsible for the supply, installation, testing, certification and commissioning of the mechanical/HVAC and Air Conditioning systems for the Phase 1, 16 MW PPK2 Building. Mechanical systems were designed to N+1, and electrical systems designed to a combination of N+1 and N+2 redundancy. The project included a ventilation system comprising 32No full fresh air AHUs with associated exhaust fans banked at opposite ends of the building. The data halls at ground and first floor both had the same floor area. Each AHU is rated at approximately 35m/s full fresh air with own MCC Panels built into the unit on an external galvanised steel frame.

Leo Lynch provided the supply, installation, testing, certification and commissioning of the mechanical/HVAC and air conditioning systems for a Bahrain data centre.

A complex data centre delivery project in Bahrain

The project included supply, installation, testing, certification and commissioning of the Mechanical/HVAC and Air Conditioning systems for Phase 1, Data Hall No 1. It also involved 7No full fresh AHUs with passive return dampers, with each AHU rated at approximately 52 m3/s full fresh air with a primary air supply plenum duct 3.6m x 1.8m. 14No exhaust fans located at roof level, 8No CRAC units to electrical & battery rooms, 4No 1.2mW air cooled chillers linked to a 450mm dia chilled water system were also part of the project  Finally, it included fuel oil, storage and delivery system to 4No standby generators.
