LEED Platinum, BREEAM Outstanding and A1 BER Brewhouse at St. James Gate for Diageo Ireland.
The €150m brewery expansion project consisted of a new brewhouse facility, new grain intake and associated silos, production offices and laboratories. The project achieved LEED Platinum, BREEAM Outstanding and A1 BER ratings.
Leo Lynch works included installation and piping of three new brewhouses, including all process and utility piping to all brewing equipment. Our team was also responsible for off-loading, assembly, cranage (50T to 350T Cranes) and installation of some of the largest brewing equipment in Europe, including the largest Lauter Tun Vessel ever made by Krones - 13m in diameter, weighing 50 tonnes, 30m high silos and 20m high water tanks with high level structural walkway system. Our work included move-in and positioning of brewing vessels and associated equipment, total process/utility pipework of 20km / 300mm diameter, 1km of process/utility piping to serve the Brewhouse and Utilities Building, including high-pressure steam mains along with water and gas services.
